We use it every day, but where exactly is “The Cloud”? This invisible yet essential technology powers much of our digital world, influencing how we store information, access entertainment, and even interact with AI.It’s important to explore how the Cloud works and why it matters. In this three-session study group, we will break down the key concepts behind Cloud computing. We’ll clarify common terminology, explain the mechanics of how the Cloud operates, and examine the major companies shaping this technology, Additionally, we’ll explore popular Cloud-based applications such as file storage, streaming, and AI.The class will provide a clear and practical foundation for navigating the digital world.

Victor Rezmovic

Victor Rezmovic, PhD, was trained in quantitative methods and social science research. He was fortunate to have discovered the world of personal computers in 1983, which led him to a career as a technology consultant and educator. After retiring from consulting at the DOJ and FBI, he has dedicated himself to teaching practical uses of technology such as using the Cloud, disconnecting from cable TV, and staying safe online. He has been teaching at OLLI since 2017.
