Given the central role that economics plays in policy making at the federal, state, and local levels, this course will provide an overview of some of our most pressing economic issues: economic inequality, the US safety net, and the economics of climate change. We will explore what economists collectively understand to be true about each topic, while not prescribing specific policy solutions. This study group has a high class size capacity.
