Join us for an indoor tour, stewarded by OLLI's Tammy Belden, of a lesser known but fascinating DC-area museum! Small but mighty, the National Cryptologic Museum houses numerous artifacts from our nation’s cryptologic history. Located adjacent to the National Security Agency’s headquarters at Fort Meade, Maryland, this museum seeks to educate the public about the role of cryptology in shaping history. Recently remodeled, the museum collects, preserves, and showcases unique cryptologic artifacts and shares the stories of the people, technology, and methods that have defined cryptologic history. Current and former NSA employees serve as docents for the tours.

You may use your own transportation and join us at the museum or carpool (provided on a limited basis) from OLLI. It is important to register for the tour as space may be limited. We hope you will join us for an interesting and fun time!

For Those Driving: The address for the museum is 8290 Colony Seven Road in Annapolis Junction, MD.

For Those Carpooling: Members will meet in the parking lot BEHIND 4801 Mass Ave NW building at 10:30 AM. Cars may NOT be left in this parking lot. Be sure to be dropped off or park in a metered spot on the street.

Registration is limited to the first 20 persons that sign up or 8:00 AM Friday, November 18, whichever comes first. There is no charge for this event.  In the event of questionable weather, please check your email for an update from Tammy Belden.
