Thursday
1:45 - 3:15
Starting September 26
Online

Truth in Common founder Deanna Troust will help participants understand what disinformation is, its impact on communities and democracy, and how to disrupt its spreadonline and in conversation with others. The group will explore the collection of phenomena that have resulted in falsehoods coursing through our spaces, the numerous research disciplines striving to understand it, the larger ecosystem that makes disinformation possible and a practical, social change-oriented approach that allows each of us to help restore fact-based decision-making and civil discourse. The course will feature at least one guest speaker. Since the final two class sessions are after the November election, participants will be able to discuss the results and the aftermath in real-time.
