2019 Bastille Day Celebration

The program:
• 11 am to 12:30 pm Showing of Francofonia
• 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm Potluck Brunch
• 2:30 pm Showing of the Umbrellas of Cherbourg

The films will be shown in Room A (1st Floor, Spring Valley Building), the brunch will be on the 5th Floor in the Social Space.

This is a free event, but registration is required.

Attendees who contribute to the Potluck will receive raffle tickets.

 Francofonia is a fascinating documentary of Russian director, Alexander Sakurov, that deals with the preservation of the treasures of the Louvre in German-occupied Paris during World War II.

 The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (Les Parapluies de Cherbourg) is the film that made Catherine Deneuve famous with the assistance of splendid music by Michel Legrand.
