2021 OLLI Bloomsday Celebration

This Zoom event will feature live readings and a film screening. The readings will be passages from James Joyce's Ulysses paired with passages from his other works. These "twins" will be linked on the basis of what they have in common (such as subject matter or character) and distinctive differences (such as time, geography, style, point of view, emotion). This linking will enable us to track developments in the lives of Joyce and his characters. The contrasts between passages will bring into relief his multifaceted writing talents.
