100: Child Care/After School and Early Education Policy

This class will explore the approach that the United States has taken to support the education and care for young and school age children. It will examine the history of federal, state, and local child care, after school, and early learning programs and policies, the relationship between the early education needs of young children and the needs of working parents, and the status of the early childhood workforce. It will also focus on the political strategies and movements that impact these issues.
