Museum of the American Revolution Trip

Join us for a trip to the Museum of the American Revolution, located just two blocks from Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the U.S. Mint. The museum has a vast collection of several thousand objects, works of art, manuscripts, and printed works from the period of the American Revolution.

Upon arrival in Philadelphia, we will stop at the famous Reading Market, where you will independently find and purchase your lunch. The Market offers a great selection of locally grown and exotic produce, locally sourced meats and poultry, seafood, cheeses, and baked goods. After the market we will make our way to the museum, where you will have several hours to enjoy the collections. You may also walk to see the other sights like Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.

We will get ready to board the bus back to DC at museum's closing - 5:00 PM. We should arrive back in Washington by 8:00 PM. All day parking will be available for your vehicle at the meeting point of Temple Baptist Church just a mile from the OLLI location: 3850 Nebraska Ave NW. Cost is $55.

We need a minimum of 35 people to register for this trip.
